Ladies and gentlemen! Clap your hands to your eyes and wrangle with the powers of Booze Foresight. That’s right, the only thing really worth predicting is another ‘Play Your Cords Right’ at the Walrus Social, Waterloo, on Fri 8th May 09.
Once again, there will be top notch country-punk shenanigans, hillbilly hop and and the usual meths-fuelled tomfoolery - not to mention lavish velveteen curtains and the modern miracle of running water. There will also be diamond-class, top-money card games for lovers and couples, for which a bevy of glamourous assistants will be needed (ladies, please bring sequined garments).
Dress-code: gameshow!
The din-makers will include:
Franco’s Chariot
The Crucks (from Brighton)
and some other mystery boppers to be confirmed shortly
It’s nice to see you - to see you nice! After a lengthy sabbatical spent watching 1970s gameshows, we feel the time has come to stage another Hoedown. Here’s the lowdown:
Shake off those New Year’s blues with Booze Foresight, in a well-appointed upstairs location just minutes from London’s desirable Waterloo area.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Lucky Lounge on 17.06.08 to see Franco cranking out songs about love, booze and murder on a hand-built Italian guitar from the 1700’s. Now open your ears to these brand-new audio missives:
Goodlogic Records is organising a night of musical abandon on 27 June at the Walrus Social, 172 Westminster Bridge Rd., SE1 7RW, from 19:00 onwards. It’ll be free to get in, and will feature rock and roll music, booze, velour seating and Franco’s Chariot bass maestro Oblique busting into another decade. Get on down to the ‘Slow Down’! (Click on the image for the flyer).
Playing with the fantastic Sniffle Brothers and primitive orchestra Pop Martyr, a three-man Chariot ignited the heady mixture of engine oil and Italian hooch in Scooterworks. More 2-Stroke events coming soon!
Beautifully mastered in Goodlogic Records’ mountaintop lair, this recording captures the grit and grind of the Chariot in full swing deep in Wood Green.
